The Hazel Park Arts Council was formed in 2010 by Councilman Andy LeCureaux and former Hazel Park Mayor Jeffrey Keeton. The goals behind creating an arts council were to help create walkable spaces and highlight art through art gardens, sculptures, and murals in the city. This vision has since morphed into providing events for artists to showcare their works, supporting the art in STEAM, helping residents find their inner artist, and continuing to invest in public art.
